Rob Hill

Rob serves as a Project Manager and Business Development Consultant for Rock Solid. He started in 2021, bringing with him nearly 20 years of experience and a range of skills including construction, engineering, project management and business development. Since joining Rock Solid, Rob has led development of the East Bluff Bike Park and Campground slated to open this summer (2023) near our Copper Harbor Headquarters. In addition to this key accountability, he is leading additional projects including execution of the Cedar Grove Bike Park on Mackinac Island, MI, Bike Park Business Consulting for the La Jolla Band of Luiseno Indians in Pauma Valley, CA and Trail Concept Planning for the River Trails Residential Development in Houghton, MI. Rob loves interacting with clients and his Rock Solid colleagues to bring new recreational opportunities to life for everyone to enjoy.

Originally from a small town in the Northern portion of Lower Michigan, Rob grew up on MX Bikes and Snowmobiles. Rob later earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Michigan Technological University, and it was during his time at MTU that he got hooked on Mountain Biking, exploring numerous local trail systems and ultimately falling in love with the Copper Harbor trail network. He volunteered his time on these trails, and also spearheaded urban trail building efforts in central WI where he held a corporate role managing large projects for the better part of a decade before joining Rock Solid. Rob is thrilled to be living and working near our Copper Harbor headquarters. In his free time you'll find him riding bikes, fishing on lake superior, hanging with his wife and two dogs, or getting in a Crossfit workout at the gym he co-owns.
