Nils Hemple

Lead Foreman

Nils Hemple originally from Rhinelander WI, is one of Rock Solid’s foundational employees, with roots dating to 2014. Starting out as a handworker constructing the Mission Creek System in Duluth, MN. His trail building aptitude was recognized as he worked his way from handworker, to operator, to one of Rock Solid’s top foreman.

Before Rock Solid, Nils worked as a building material supply estimator and at Heavenly Ski Area on snowmaking, lifts ops and grooming.

Nils has worked on flow trails, jump trails, XC trails, hand-built trails, and has thousands of square feet of technical rockwork under his belt. He has served as foreman on projects such as the Upper Hixon trail system, La Crosse, WI; Giants Ridge Recreation Area, Biwabik, MN; Christmas Mountain, Petoskey, MI; Lake Leatherwood, Eureka Springs, AR.

Nils was lead foreman at Centennial Park trail system in Fayetteville Arkansas. This exciting 15-mile project includes trails ranging from beginner/intermediate flow, to advanced cyclocross and cross country race courses which host world class events like the 2022 UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships. You’ll see Nils out riding with a big smile on his face because he’s having fun riding any and every style of trail. He does love jumps though! Big flowy jump trails with endless hits is what Nils dreams about.
