Keith Reed

Executive Mechanic

Keith is from Northeast PA, where following high school he enlisted in the Navy as an Engineman where he worked on naval ship engines and became an enlisted warfare specialist. Following the Navy, he was a mechanic on various vehicles including tour buses, street sweepers and school buses for over 20 years.  He led fleets up to 150 vehicles and is an ASE certified mechanic.  His mechanical mind has fixed household appliances, bikes, vehicles to just about everything else.

Keith is a mechanic by day and pretty much a mountain biker the rest of the time. He rode BMX since a young child and at sixteen when he felt he was too big for a BMX bike he progressed to a mountain bike.  He has helped build and maintain existing trails in addition to leading rides at his local state park.

Keith enjoys all biking that is on dirt and rocks and prefers a ride that involves work.  Along the way he met his wife who also has the same passion for mountain biking.  Their love for biking had them searching for a biking location to relocate to for nearly ten years. Then in December 2019 he was in NWA for a family event and was able to rent a bike for 24 hours and rode the Back 40, Coler and Slaughter Pen.  Those 24 hours set the stage to relocate to the best place on Earth for mountain bikers.

Keith relocated to Bentonville for his dream job in December 2021 and has been living his best life ever since then.  He manages the maintenance of Rock Solid equipment from chainsaws to trucks to ensure the team is not delayed in building the trails people from near and far enjoy every day.

When Keith is not working or mountain biking, he is a devoted Steelers fan and has been since about the same time he was using training wheels.  His typical Sunday involves riding early before football starts and then waving his terrible towel while trying to sit still on his couch with one of his three dogs.

Ride on!
