Austin Hayes
Foreman
Originally from Aurora MN, Austin Hayes joined the Rock Solid team at 21 years old in the winter of 2017, working on one of Rock Solid’s first projects in Arkansas. Previously he worked for a canoe outfitter shuttling boats back and forth from the boundary waters in northern MN. Austin began his mountain bike career when he started out with Rock Solid and enjoys riding flowy/technical all-mountain style trails.
After working at Lake Leatherwood in late 2017 and early 2018, he took a hiatus from RS in fall 2018 when he became the first Trails Manager at Lake Leatherwood working for the city of Eureka Springs. He managed trail maintenance and coordinated future projects for the bike park. He came back to Rock Solid in winter of 2020 and started working at Mt. Nebo State Park as a proficient hand worker and machine operator. He has worked on an assortment of projects with RS including Wausau, Lacrosse, Cuyuna, Giants Ridge, Copper Harbor, Back 40, Slaughter pen, and Centennial Park.
Austin became foreman in winter 20’-21’ working in Little Rock for another Arkansas State Park project serving as a Co-foreman with Tim.
