Tim Kohlhaas, like many Rock Solid employees, comes from the Lake Superior region and the city of Duluth MN. After graduating high school, he moved to Colorado to live the ski-bum lifestyle. That’s where he discovered mountain biking around 2009. Being that you can’t fully live that lifestyle forever, he came back to MN where he attended college, earned a degree in finance/accounting, and worked at an airplane manufacturing plant, as well as home construction sales. He started at Rock Solid in the fall of 2017 with his first big project of Lake Leatherwood, Arkansas.
Other projects Tim’s been a part of as a hand worker and machine operator include: various Slaughterpen trails, Mt. Nebo, Centennial Park, Redhead, Tioga, Giants Ridge, Tofte-Lutsen, and Little Rock. His favorite trail and style of trails are that of Lake Leatherwood DH trails, which are flowy with of an assortment features thrown in with the option of climbing or shuttling.
