Matt Torvinen is one of Rock Solid’s foundational employee’s with roots dating to 2014. He first served as a handworker constructing the Mission Creek System in Duluth, MN, which happens to be his hometown.
His attention to detail and discipline was recognized as he has worked his way from handworker, to operator to one of Rock Solid’s top foreman. He has an extensive Minnesota-trail-building portfolio which includes work at Mission Creek, Spirit Mtn, Brewer Park, Lester Park, the Hartley park trail systems as well as significant portions of the Duluth Traverse. In 2019 Matt was a foreman on the Little Sugar trail system and the Mulligan and Rago reworks on the back 40, Bella Vista, AR. He was also played important roles building in Copper Harbor including the Keweenaw Point Trail, West Woopidy Woo and Summer School trails.
When not on the road building trails with Rock Solid Matt has been an integral part of his local Duluth, MN bike club serving as a board member as well as coordinating weekly trail work sessions.
