Jon Schubbe
Vice President & Senior Planner
Jon serves as Vice President but also leads GIS and planning efforts at Rock Solid. Starting in 2018, he brought with him over 20 years of experience in the field of natural resources. During his time with Rock Solid, he has supported design and construction projects at Mt Nebo State Park, Mt Magazine State Park, Centennial Park at Millsap Mountain, and Little Sugar in Arkansas. His project experience in the Western Great Lakes region includes Jackpot Trail (Cook County, MN), Split Rock Wilds (Lake County, MN) and Cuyuna State Recreation Area (Crosby, MN).
Jon was also involved with the Palmer Woods Planning Project in Leelanau County, MI and with the Tanton Forest Project in Emmet County, MI. Finally, Jon also serves as the project manager for Rock Solid’s own East Bluff Bike Park, currently under development in Copper Harbor, MI. Prior to joining Rock Solid, Jon worked as an Environmental Scientist with HDR Engineering, providing wildlife, water resources and GIS consulting services to commercial scale wind farm projects and long-distance transmission lines. Jon has earned a MS in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
